Musician's F(r)iend is selling these for $99, and they *look* promising from the perspective of wanting speakers that I can use for mixing and the usual PC gaming and music. I noticed that neither Tascam nor MF mention the I/O and controls, so I'm guessing it's typical 1/8" and level control, not much more.
The only other active monitors in the price range are either the Roland MA-8s that I've owned in the past, or the Edirol/M-Audio/Behringer competition. Functional, but not much else. If the Tascams actually deliver on the flat frequency response, that would be great.
If anyone has experience with these, I'd love to get some info.
